Whiskey at Dolans
Dolan's is delighted to serve a selection of Irish, Scotch and American Whiskeys to suit all tastes...and moods! We serve a range of homegrown Irish Whiskeys from a range of distilleries including some from Cooley Distillery - Ireland's only independent Irish Whiskey distillery. The Kilbeggan is a blend of the finest grain and malt whiskeys producing a beautiful sweet taste and malty finish. The Connemara is created by drying malting barley over peat fires which revives one of the ancient distilling traditions of Ireland and imparts a distinctive smoky flavour to the whiskey.
From across the water
We sent our scouts to the United States and they returned with bottles of the boldest, most complex premium bourbons they could find in some of Kentucky's oldest distilleries. Makers Mark, known as a "wheated bourbon" has been distilled since 1953 and uses only pure iron-free limestone spring water in its distillation process. Knob Creek is a firm favourite with the Dolans regulars and seeing as its Aged for 9 years in charred American White Oak barrels then hand bottled its easy to see why! Our 8year old Wild Turkey has an exceptionally soft, but rich aroma for a high proof bourbon and is made 100% naturally in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Returning from a second scouting trip to Scotland this time the team found it difficult to decide between the Glenfiddich (12y), the Laphraoig (10y) and The Dalmore (10y) so they brought them all back! Along with a selection of the old favourites Glenmorangie and Macallan as well as a lovely bottle of Teachers you will be spoilt for choice here in Dolans!
