A Holiday Tradition Celebrates 20 Years
Liam O’Brien’s Crooning at Christmas returns to Dolan’s Warehouse
This December marks a milestone for Crooning at Christmas, the beloved festive show led by Liam O’Brien, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Since its debut in 2004, this celebration of the swing era has become a cherished Limerick tradition, lighting up the city’s holiday season year after year.
To honour this special anniversary, Crooning at Christmas returns for not one, but two performances, on Sunday December 22nd, and Monday December 23rd.
Liam O’Brien, former Emmerdale star and celebrated Rat Pack singer, brings his passion and exceptional talent to every performance, supported by a stellar cast of musicians and guests. Known as one of Ireland’s premier crooners, Liam's style is deeply influenced by his acclaimed portrayal of Dean Martin in the West End production of The Rat Pack – Live from Las Vegas, which toured across the UK, Europe, and the US.
Regularly performing with his Million Dollar Swing Band and various big bands throughout Ireland and the UK, Liam has graced prestigious stages like London’s Roundhouse and a sold-out Royal Albert Hall for Carols with the Stars.
Crooning at Christmas brings the magic of classic holiday tunes to life, featuring timeless hits like Baby It’s Cold Outside, White Christmas, Let It Snow, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, as well as contemporary favourites from artists like Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Bublé. Fans of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Nat King Cole will delight in the swing sounds of the Million Dollar Swing Band, featuring renowned musicians John Daly, Peter Hanagan, and Ken Hinchy.
Since its inception, the show has showcased both rising and established local talent, with special guest performers adding an extra layer of charm each year. This year’s very special guests will be announced soon.
Tickets are priced at €25 (plus booking fee) and are available for purchase through our website. As always, early booking is recommended.
In addition to spreading holiday cheer, Crooning at Christmas continues its tradition of supporting Limerick’s Christmas Poor Campaign, with over €18,000 raised to date.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the show starting promptly at 8:30 p.m. on both December 22nd and 23rd.
