Hailing from Limerick in Ireland, Left on Read began as a series of impromptu jams between friends at sessions and open mics in their city. “It was a no-brainer to start a band with our best mates,” the band recalls. “We were just having so much fun”.

Forming in 2020 to work on a couple of demos together, the band has developed their sound far beyond those humble beginnings. The band's love for experimentation has allowed them the opportunity to play with different styles and the already have a huge catalog of music in their locker ready to call on.

In 2021 the band was awarded Creative Ireland’s ‘Made in Limerick’ Grant, which allowed them to head into the studio to record their debut. Their first three releases saw them make enough of an impression to be named winners of the Dolores O'Riordan Music Award for 2022, and the band have gone from strength to strength since.
