 LIMERICK, IRELAND – The upcoming rock-theatre production Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma is set to take the stage at the University Concert Hall, University of Limerick, on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025. This new and exciting production will offer audiences an unforgettable experience, celebrating the life and legacy of one of Ireland’s greatest rock icons.

This powerful and deeply moving production goes beyond the headlines to explore the early life and rise of Philip Lynott, frontman of Thin Lizzy, from his humble Dublin roots to his global impact as a musician and poet. A dynamic fusion of live music, theatre, and storytelling, Moonlight provides an intimate and expansive portrait of Lynott, elevating his place alongside Irish literary greats like Oscar Wilde and Brendan Behan. 

Created by John Merrigan & Danielle Morgan, this honour production is directed by Jason Figgis and stars Peter M. Smith as Lynott. The show features a live band performing Thin Lizzy classics alongside brand-new original music, making it a must-see event for rock fans and theatre lovers alike.

Tickets for the University Concert Hall show are priced at €45 + booking fee and are available now through UCH.ie and Ticketmaster.
