Congratulations to Guna Nua Team on New York awards success

Dolans Presents take this opportunity to offer our warmest congratulations to the Guna Nua team following their fantastic success at this year’s Origin First Irish Theatre Festival in New York.

Guna Nua’s play The Morning After the Life Before took to the New York stage during the festival and was the recipient of two festival awards – Best Director for Paul Meade and Best Supporting Actress for Lucia Smyth.

Performed at the Cell Theatre in Chelsea by Ann Blake and Lucia Smyth, the show is a personal, entertaining tale of weddings, ‘coming out’ and arguments over who takes out the bins. Be prepared for music, cake and equality.

The play has also been the winner of the Best of Fringe Award Winner at the Montreal Fringe 2017, Best of Fringe Award Winner at London Ontario Fringe 2017 and received a LGBTQ+ Award Nomination at the Brighton Fringe 2018.

Since its founding in 2007, Origin’s 1st Irish is the world’s only theatre festival dedicated to showcasing the work of contemporary Irish playwrights with a mix of new and acclaimed productions from both sides of the Atlantic.

The Festival takes place in a number of distinguished venues throughout the city, including Irish Rep, New York City Center, Irish Arts Center, American Irish Historical Society, and Symphony Space.

Dolans are looking forward to hosting The Morning After the Life Before at Dolans Warehouse on February 23rd as part of the Limerick Literary Festival celebrations.

TICKETS ARE PRICED AT €15 INCLUDING BOOKING FEE AND CAN BE PURCHASED VIA THE DOLANS BOX OFFICE ON 061314483 OR VIA WWW.DOLANS.IE.
