Dolans Presents are delighted to announce the return of Sinnerboy later this year.
This top international tribute band has developed a superb reputation over the past 17 years paying homage to the epic music of the late, great Rory Gallagher.
Sinnerboy will play Dolans on the 25th October.
Sinnerboy, from Manchester, are renowned for faithfully recapturing the sound and excitement of a live “Rory gig”. Described as ‘simply the best Rory Gallagher tribute band in the world’ by Rory’s brother Donal, Sinnerboy are led by Barry Barnes and have been flying the flag for their hero with a set list that encompasses Gallagher’s entire long and glittering career.
After Rory's passing in 1995 Barry staged the first ever Rory Gallagher Tribute concert in his home city of Manchester, an ever present in the Rory Calendar and now at its current location at The world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool each November.
Sinnerboy have played a major role in promoting the revival of Rory’s music in the last seventeen years and apart from gigging extensively in Europe, have headlined Rory Gallagher tribute events in Ireland, Italy, Austria, UK, Holland, Germany, Greece, Spain, Norway and the USA.
Rory Gallagher was born in Ballyshannon and reared in Cork. He had a huge impact on the world of blues and rock and was Ireland's first real ”rock star” - blazing the trail for many major Irish acts to follow on the international stage.
Apart from being recognised as one of the greatest ever exponents of the electric guitar, Rory Gallagher left behind an enduring musical legacy which has received fresh recognition over recent years. He was a prolific composer and in his lifetime recorded no fewer than fifteen albums of highly original and soulful blues and rock material.
Sinnerboy give a stage performance exuding sheer energy and fire and have built a loyal following by fans. They will draw from an extensive repertoire of electric and acoustic numbers to mark every phase of the late Rory’s career.
