This week's line-up at Dolans

This week at Dolans we are welcoming a diverse and exciting mix of local and national talent across our multiple venues.

On Wednesday we host local Limerick performer Jean McGlynn who plays the Warehouse venue with a new revue show she has personally curated.

Jean is no stranger to Limerick audiences and has worked on numerous West End shows during her career.

VaudeVillains will be a cracker of show – don’t miss Jean and her 4-piece band create her unique interpretations of some well-known songs from across a range of musical genres.

Wednesday also sees singer/songwriter Niamh Regan perform at Dolans Upstairs. Following her studies at the University of Limerick, Regan honed her craft as a songwriter by travelling between Ireland and California, writing about her experiences along the way.

Niamh has opened for Mick Flannery and John Smith in the past here and sees it as an honour to be returning with a full band to play her headline show.

Another performer who needs no Limerick introduction is Niamh Dunne who hails from the famous musical Dunne family. Niamh has gone on to make a big name for herself as part of the Beoga line-up.

Beoga return to Dolans on Thursday. having toured the world, released several albums and experienced things they’d never dreamed of doing, such as performing at BBC’s Proms in the Park. The band came to international attention when they collaborated on two songs on Ed Sheeran’s global hit album ‘÷’. 

The Wall Street Journal even heralded them as, “The most exciting new traditional band to emerge from Ireland this century.”

Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs aka Pigs x7 hit the Upstairs venue on Thursday evening. In the seven years since this band’s inception, the Newcastle-based quintet are continuing to prove that they are no band to be messed with.

Pink Floyd fans will be in their element in Dolans Warehouse on Friday evening as we welcome Breathe – The Pink Floyd Experience back to Limerick following a run of sold-out tours. Don’t miss this explosive 2hr + live music experience showcasing the very best of Pink Floyd.

Friday also sees the Upstairs venue welcome Dani Larkin & Joshua Burnside in a Co-Headliner gig. Dani has supported Rufus Wainright, Lisa O'Neill, Joshua Burnside and performed at Other Voices Belfast alongside Lemoncello and Alfí. 

She is joined on stage by Joshua, a Northern Irish folk singer-songwriter based in Belfast. His music incorporates elements of Irish folk, rock, Americana, world music, sound collage and electronica.

Saturday night sees the return of True Tides to the Kasbah. True Tides are Cian, Conor and Eoghan MacSweeny. The 3 Irish brothers have been playing music together their whole lives, developing an energetic sound with a sharp-edged pop dynamic driven by guitars and electronics with layered vocal harmonies at its core.

Following sell-out gigs at the likes of Sugar Club, the Button Factory, The Academy and the The Olympia in Dublin as well as Indiependence and Electric Picnic, King Kong Company are ready to lay siege to Limerick once again on Saturday night in the Warehouse venue.

Described by the Irish Times “As smooth as aged old whiskey” – The Lost Brothers play Dolans Warehouse on Sunday night will prove to be a sublime finish to a hectic week. Do not miss these wonderful performers.
